BEIRUT – Former MP Sayed Akl told Voice of Lebanon radio station on Thursday he was running for municipal elections in Batroun district, “after negotiations and consensus attempts failed with the Free Patriotic Movement”. He accused Minister Gebran basil of interfering in the elections in order to politicize them. He stressed the necessity to save the developmental and social aspect of the elections in order to secure harmony and productivity of the municipal council.
